Ethel Randolph, 95, of East Troy, died on Oct. 6, 2014.
She was born in the Town of Geneva and grew up in Elkhorn, graduating from Elkhorn High School. She was an honors student, a member of the debate team, the Pep Club and several other organizations.
She met a married Clayton “Clate,” living in Milwaukee for a short time before settling in East Troy on Graydon Avenue.
After her husband’s death in 1992, She continued to live independently in her home until 2013, when she moved to East Troy Manor.
She was a strong supporter of her children when they were growing up and often participated in their school activities. She served as president of the Music Mothers Club and raised the funds to buy new band uniforms.
When her children were older, she worked as the office manager for Mode Air Card Co. and also took great care of her grandchildren, cooking delicious meals for them and teaching them strategic games she enjoyed such as Othello and gin rummy. She was an avid bridge player when she was younger and later enjoyed playing bingo and other card games with her many friends at East Troy Manor.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to many.
Survivors include her son, Charles Clayton (Winifred), East Troy; daughters, Donna (Don) Syring, East Troy, Darlene (Anthony) Benivegna, Roxbury, Conn.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, at Legacy Funeral Service, 2974 W. Main St., East Troy. The Rev. Maurice Lind will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery, East Troy.
