Lloyd C Johnsen, 97, passed away peacefully on Sept. 14, 2014, in his Lake Havasu City, Ariz., home where lived with his daughter for the past 12 years.
Lloyd was born July 11, 1917, in Racine, raised in Chicago and lived most of his adult life in Delavan with his wife, Elizabeth A. Archambault Johnsen, who preceded him in death Feb. 22, 2002.
Lloyd and Liz had four children, Lloyd, Ronald (diseased), Sandra Stevens and Daniel; eight grandchildren and many great-grand children. Lloyd has one remaining sister, Dolores Lavery, who resides in Batavia, Ill.
Lloyd worked for Zinzow construction of Elkhorn until his retirement. He was affectionately known as Big John. Lloyd and Liz attended the Emanuel Christian Assembly in Delavan for many years. Both were active in the seniors group in Delavan. Both loved golfing and bowling in their younger days.
Lloyd will be miss by all who knew and loved him. He was a gentle and caring person. He loved Jesus Christ and is now at rest in the paradise of God with his beloved wife. Lloyd and Liz will be laid to rest in the Millard cemetery in the summer of 2015.
