Ruth A. Wilson, 94, of Whitewater, died Sept. 4, 2014, at the Agrace Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Janesville. She was born on July 27, 1920, in Black River Falls, to the late Lyle and Lurline (Dalrymple) Cooper.
She married Lowell W. Wilson on Dec. 24, 1944, in Hudson. She was a biology teacher for both Craig and Parker high schools until retiring in 1981. She was a member of Janesville Area Retired Teachers Association, a 50-year member of PEO Sisterhood, and a longtime member of Richmond United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; nieces and nephews, Jim Cooper of Lyman, Wyo., Barbara (Michael) Canik, Oak Ridge, Tenn., and John (Lori) Carlson of Tucson, Ariz.
She was further preceded in death by her son, Robin Wilson; sister, Ann Carlson; and brothers, Harold and Edward Cooper.
Memorial services were Sept. 8 at the Richmond United Methodist Church with Rev. Kim Brumm officiating. Interment followed in Milton Lawns Memorial Park, Janesville.
