Madeline E. Mitchell, 89, of Delavan, died Aug. 10, 2014, at her home at Golden Years Care Center in Walworth.
She was born Oct. 19, 1924, to Emil and Clara (Rubeck) Johnson. She married Robert Mitchell in 1959 in Rockford, Ill. He preceded her in death Aug. 6, 2001.
She spent her working career as an executive secretary at Sta-Rite Industries in Delavan. For more than 20 years, she wintered in Naples, Fla. She was a member of Calvary Community Church.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Maxine Johnson, of Delavan; her niece and nephew, Stanton (Bonnie) Johnson, of Menasha, and Kim (Joel) Reyenga, of Williams Bay; and her nephew-in-law, Carl Johnson, of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; her brother, Frank Johnson; and her niece, Linda Johnson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Community Church in Williams Bay. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the Calvary Community Church. Burial will follow funeral services at Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan.
Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan is assisting the family.
