Jane Rosalia Schallock, 88, died May 7, 2014, at the Fair Haven Nursing Home, Whitewater. She was born in the Town of Sumpter on Oct. 22, 1925, to the late Edward and Maude (Waffenschmidt) Mockler.
She graduated from Prairie du Sac High School in 1943. Following High School she attended Madison Business College.
She married Alton Schallock on April 24, 1954.
She worked for many years as a stenographer for the State of Minnesota and Wisconsin.
She enjoyed the outdoors, cooking, baking, spending time with family and friends, and loved to dance. She was a kind person who always looked out for others and will be missed very much.
Survivors include her husband Alton; son Robert; and a niece, Beverly Waller.
She was further preceded in death by her brother, Dean Mockler; nephew, Jim Mockler; and niece, Pat Madigan.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, at the Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery.
