Mary Maurer, 98, of East Troy, died March 23, 2014. She was born Aug. 24, 1915, in Monaca, Pa.
She lived in Monaca until age 89 when she moved to East Troy to be near her family. She lived an independent and active life and was a very special lady whose love touched many lives during her lifetime.
Survivors include her daughter, Maryellen (Charles) Heckman; grandchildren, Chaz (Cherylynn), David (Gina) and Rodney (Laura); great-grandchildren, Zachary, Jessica, Ryan, Alyssa, Brianna, Brady and Will; nieces and nephews, John (Ellen) Eberhardt, Charlene (Bill) Wolf, Regina (Ron) King, Ted (Birdie) Eberhardt, Barbara (Anthony) Rubino, Kurt (Barbara) Leitschaft; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband William George; brother, Steve (Marion) Leitschaft, John (Elsie) Leitschaft; nephew, Steve Leitschaft; and long-time friend, Joe Kroen.
Memorials to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1936 Emery St., East Troy, WI 53120 are suggested. Services were held March 26 at the church.
