Loretta J. Lippert, 73, of Neenah, formerly of Oshkosh and Delavan, died Jan. 14, 2014, at Matthews of Irish Road, Neenah. She was born May 6, 1940, in Cloquet City, Minn., to Kurt and Virginia (Norell) Swanson.
She was a member of Wyldewood Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and was a librarian for many years at Delavan-Darien area schools and the Lake Geneva Public Library.
She is survived by a daughter, Wendy Zabel, of Clinton; a son, David Lippert, of Neenah; a sister, Sandra (Richard) Harding, of Rock Falls, Ill.; a brother, Robert (Tamara) Swanson, of Rockford, Ill.; four grandchildren, Caleb, Chelsea and Colin Reader, and Cameron Zabel; and a great-granddaughter, Chloe Reader.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Kurt “Sonny” Swanson Jr.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 18 at Wyldewood Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy King officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Sandy Lake Cemetery near Barnum, Minn., in the spring.
