Brad Mysliwski, 32, found peace, surrounded by his family, on Dec. 19, 2013, after a long battle with PMP cancer. He was born May 4, 1981, to Paul and Cheryl (Lohr) Mysliwski in Milwaukee and moved to the East Troy area at age 7.
He graduated from East Troy High School in 1999, attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and graduated from UW-Whitewater in 2005.
He married Kira-Nicole Mallon on Oct. 3, 2009, at Mt. Olive Church in Mukwonago. He lived in the East Troy/Mukwonago area until the time of his death.
He had a lifelong love of music and sports especially baseball. He played in high school, was a member of the 1999 State Championship American Legion team and played on the East Troy Express for many years. He loved going to Packer games in Green Bay with his dad.
Brad’s greatest love was for his friends, which became his extended family. As a group they lifted Brad up during the difficult times and rallied around him during the good. His journey would have been much more difficult if not for the wonderful care of the staff at the D.N. Greenwald Cancer Center.
Survivors include wife; parents; mother-in-law, Karen Mallon; sister-in-law, Elyse (Kyle) Sweeney; brothers-in-law, Lucas Mallon and Kyle (Pauline) Mallon; niece, Kylie Mallon; grandmother, Lorraine Mysliwski, many aunts, uncles and cousins and Peyton.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Milt Lohr and Felix Mysliwski, and his grandmother, Carolyne Lohr (see related obituary here).
A celebration of his life will be held at The Grist Mill in East Troy on Friday, Jan. 24, at 6 p.m.
Memorials to Angels Grace Hospice and ProHealth Care Foundation are suggested.
