FLORENCE BOLTON

Florence Bolton, 91, of East Troy passed away on Monday, Jan. 13, in Elkhorn. She was born to the late Floyd and Eda Hensel, and grew up in the Walworth County area.

She married the late Edward Bolton in 1943 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, where she has been a lifelong member.

Eddie and Floss were lifetime farmers in Walworth County. She raised her children there, driving tractors, working the dairy and keeping the farm books until their retirement when they moved to town. They had many happy memories traveling, visiting friends and family and playing cards.

She served with the East Troy Lion’s Club, delivering Meals on Wheels and various  other projects. She was a great cook, famous for her baked beans, liked to crochet, and loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were especially important to her.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Taylor; son, James (Dorothy); eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brothers, Don (Evie) Hensel and Larry “Bub” (Dottie) Hensel; sister, Rosemary (Ron) Bornshlegel, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was further preceded in death by her sons John and David, and daughter, Mary.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at noon Saturday Jan. 18, at St. Peter’s  Catholic Church, 1981 Beulah Ave., East Troy. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass Saturday.

Legacy Funeral Services, East Troy, assisted the family.
