Heinrich Hofmann, 89 of East Troy found peace after a long illness.
He was married to Ludwika (née Tenikat) in Trabelsdorf, Bavaria, Germany, in 1954.
Heinrich was a voracious reader, had a keen interest in politics, loved working on the farm, was skilled in carpentry, brick laying, and building things in general. He also had a love of language and music, and passed these passions on to his children.
He will be fondly missed by family and friends here and in Germany.
He is survived by his wife; children Eva (Earl), Isabella, Henry and Paul (Anna); grandchildren, Atticus and Mira; brother, Sixtus; and sister, Gretel.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Hans.
Funeral mass was held Dec. 27 at All at Good Shepard Lutheran Church, East Troy.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family. The family is making a donation to Heinrich’s favorite charities.
