Michael Quinn O’Brien, 67, of Wonder Lake, died Dec. 5, 2013. He was born on Nov. 13, 1946, in Delavan, to the late William Quinn and Clara Joan (nee Locke) O’Brien.
He graduated from Whitewater High School and UW-Whitewater. He taught English for 33 years at Woodstock (Ill.) High School before retiring in 2005.
Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Diane Rose (nee Borta); daughters, Heather Anne and Katie Rose (Glenn) O’Brien-Hawkins; sons, Michael William and Matthew Thomas (Erin); grandchildren, Emmett Quinn Hawkins and Lydia Hattie Rose Hawkins, and his brothers, Timothy (Debby) and Peter.
He was further preceded in death by his brother, Barry.
Family and friends will gather for an open house from 5-6:30 p.m. and a celebration of life ceremony at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, at the McHenry Country Club, 820 N. John St., McHenry, Ill.
