Adam Aponte, 50, of Elkhorn, formerly of Delavan, died Nov. 18, 2013, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born on May 29, 1963, in Comerio, Puerto Rico to Juan and Elsa (Ayala) Aponte.
He married Joy Peters on Nov. 5, 1983, in Elkhorn. He was a manufacturing supervisor at Thomson Industries in Marengo, Ill., for more than 30 years.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Ehen and Elijah, his sister Judy (Scott) Holcomb of Harvard, Ill.; brothers, John (Brenda), Eden, Minn., Luis (Evelyn), Raymond, Ray (Julie), Minneapolis, Minn., mother, Elsa, Delavan; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave, Delavan, with Rev. Michael F. Cole officiating. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
