James (Jim) Reyenga, 87, of Delavan, died Oct. 12, 2013, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 30, 1926, in Franksville, to the late John and Hildegarde Reyenga.
He moved to the Walworth County area in 1947, where he farmed for many years, prior to 27 years of employment at Swiss Tech.
He married Dorothy Bultman on Oct. 25, 1955, at the Delavan Christian Reformed Church, where he was a member.
He liked to garden, camp and fish, but his favorite times were spent enjoying the company of his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Joel (Kim) and Jeffery (Carolynn); daughter, Vicki (Scott) Hibl; grandchildren, Megan (fiance Brendan) and Mason, Jennifer (Joe) Pelnar, Emily (Matt) Smith, Jeffery, Dan Hibl (fiance Amber), Ryan (Erin) Hibl, and Michelle Hibl (fiance Travis); brother, Henry (Ann); sisters, Wilma VanDyken, and Arlene Torrenga; brother-in-law, John (Genzina) Bultman; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was further preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Grace; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Philip Vanderleest; brother-in-laws, Henry VanDyken and Robert Torrenga; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Getrude and Fred Drost.
A celebration of his life was Oct. 18 at the Delavan Christian Reformed Church.
