EPSON scanner imageCarol Jean Couture died Sept. 19, 2013, at Aurora Lakeland Hospital, Elkhorn, after a brief illness.

Carol was born Jan. 11, 1949, to the late Bob and Jean Couture, two missionaries serving in India.

Carol was born in the mission hospital in Chinchpada, West Kandesh, which is northeast of the city of Bombay (Mumbai).

After her family returned to the United States. from India, Carol attended public schools in Racine, and graduated from Horlick High School in 1970.

Later that year, Carol moved to the Walworth area where she became a resident at Inspiration Ministries (previously known as Christian League for the Handicapped) where she was a resident for 43 years.

She could be found pushing others in their wheel chairs and assisting others who needed help at mealtime. Carol spent many hours in the workshop carefully fulfilling the tasks she was asked to do. At different times, she worked in the dining room, the laundry and the resale shop. She enjoyed crafts and singing in the choir.

Carol had the spiritual gift of being a prayer partner for those who needed prayer. If you asked her to pray for something or someone you had no doubt that she would remember and bring that request to God regularly.

Survivors include a sister, Ruth (Chuck) Hart; brother, Jim (Kathi); a nephew, four nieces, eight great-nephews and five great-nieces.

Memorials may be addressed to Inspiration Ministries, P.O. Box 948, Walworth, WI 53184.
