Jean Virginia (nee Weinkauf) Deist, 87, died Sept. 23, 2013. She was born on March 31, 1926 to the late Henry and Zella Weinkauf.
She graduated from Mukwonago High School in 1944.
She married John “Jack” Deist and they resided in East Troy. He preceded her in death in 2010.
Most recently she lived at Linden Grove in Mukwonago.
Survivors includ her brother, Charles (Mary) Weinkauf, of Mukwonago, and many other relatives and friends. Loving aunt to Wendy (Guy) Kadau, Kevin (Patricia) Weinkauf, David Schinke, Mike (Lisa) Schinke, Bryan (Brenda) Lund, Tom (Carla) Deist, Tim (Dawn) Deist, Diane Patterson, Pat Deist, Laurie (Dan) Steffens. Special sister-in-law to Merle and Mary Lou Schinke and Joann Deist.
She was further preceded in death by her brother, William “Bill” Weinkauf.
Jean left this earth peacefully on a bright and beautiful fall afternoon. The family wishes to thank Seasons Hospice and the wonderful staff at Linden Grove for the care provided to “our feisty Jean” over the past several years.
Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Private services were held.
