Myrtle Beresh, 96, died Sept. 11, 2013, at her home in Delavan. She was born in Illinois to the late Gustaf and Anna Katherine (Madsen) Persson.
She married Alexander L. Beresh on Aug. 21, 1935.
He preceded her in death in Jan. 1990.
She was member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan. She was a long time waitress at Jess’s Restaurant in Delavan.
Survivors include her son, Donald (Sharon), Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter, Betty (Dr. Robert) Riedner, Waukesha; sisters, Mildred (Bill) Luallen, and Esther Wienke, both of Woodstock, Ill.; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; in-laws; and many friends.
She was further preceded in death by a son, Lawrence, two brothers, one sister, and in-laws.
Services were Sept. 14 at the Chapel at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Lake Geneva with the Rev. Robert P. Rickman officiating.
Burial followed in Roselawn Memory Gardens.
