Carolyn Joas, 75, of East Troy died Sept. 9, 2013.
She married her husband of 57 years, Bill Joas, on June 16, 1956, in Townsend.
From there they moved to California where Bill was in the service. Then they moved to Missouri, Milwaukee, Cedarburg and then to East Troy where Bill started and sold many businesses.
They moved 32 times. Carolyn loved gardening, crafts, and when they first came to East Troy bowling.
When Highway 43 was new to our area she was a base CB operator. Her handle was “Sawdust Queen.” She would talk to the truckers on the highway going by and offer any information they would need.
One of her greatest loves was her job as the school secretary at Chester Burns and all the children she spent time.
Survivors include her husband; sons, Marshall (Chris), Mitchell (Wendy) and Matthew (Lynne); daughter, Marolyn (Scott); grandchildren, Michelle, Marshall John, Eric, Angela, Samantha, Kiley, Ava and Conner; and great-grandchild Cayne.
A funeral service was held.
