Lois E. Earnest, 85, of Delavan, died Aug. 16, 2013, at Vintage on the Ponds in Delavan. She was born July 14, 1928, in Racine, to the late John and Vashti (Shimmins) Nelson.
She married Calvin Earnest on May 15, 1948, in Delavan. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1960.
She was a bookkeeper for Frank’s Muffler Shop in Elkhorn and a homemaker. She attended Triune Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her sons, Robert (Sandra), Sharon, Richard, Delavan, Randal (Susan), Walworth, Ronald (Renee), Elkhorn, and Craig, Delavan; and 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Joyce Nelson.
She was further preceded in death by her sister, Arlene.
Services were Aug. 21 at Monroe Funeral Home, Delavan, with the Rev. Dale Blanchard officiating. Burial followed in Spring Grove Cemetery, Delavan.
