Daniel W. Flitcroft, 78, of Elkhorn, died Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn. He was born March 4, 1935, the son of Benjamin and Clara (Blumenstein) Flitcroft.
He graduated from Delavan High School and served four years in the United States Air Force.
He married Carolyn Damm on Nov. 19, 1955, in Ingleside, Ill. He was a master plumber and owned Flitcroft Plumbing until his retirement. Since 1964, Daniel had been a member of Sugar Creek Lutheran Church.
Survivors include wife, Carolyn; children, Susan (Gary) Wallem, Elkhorn, Warren (Kris), Lake Geneva, David (Sharon), Elkhorn, Tony (Kim), Elkhorn, and Mary (Jon) Cucchi, Elkhorn; grandchildren, Claire, Lindsey, Zachary, Madelyn, Anthony, Daniel, Paul, Jacob, Kyle, Jack, Cole, Kate, Mark, Luke, and Matthew; sisters, Joyce Thompson, Lancaster, Calif., and Charlotte Keyzer, Elkhorn; and brother, Lawrence, Delavan.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald. He was loved and will be sadly missed by his family.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, at Sugar Creek Lutheran Church, N5690 Cobblestone Road, Elkhorn, with the Rev. Jane Rothman officiating. Interment followed at Sugar Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery. Monroe Funeral Home is assisting the family.
