Olga S. Salas, 88, of Delavan, died Sunday May 5, 2013, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison. She was born on Aug. 16, 1924, to the late Ricardo and Catalina (Pedroza) Santos.
She was married to Santos Salas in 1954 in Dilley, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1977.
She was a loving homemaker and a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Delavan. Her life was her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her strong faith for her church. According to her family anyone who entered her home was welcomed and made to feel like family.
Survivors include her sister, Estella Cantu; son John (Janet) Mata, Lake Mills, daughters Cecilia (Gerry) Schmidt, Delavan, Lupita, Milwaukee, Genevieve (Steve) Gruel of Norcross, Ga., Hope (Don Olson), Green Bay, Teresa (Dale Eckardt) and Connie (Kevan Smith) Holcombe of Norcross, Ga.
She was further preceded in death by her daughter Margaret, and her brothers and sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday May 10 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 115 S. Seven St., Delavan with the Rev. Jim Schuerman officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service time on Friday at the church. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 3045 highway 36, Lake Geneva.
Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan is assisting the family.
