Bernard F. “Bernie” Price of Waunakee, formerly of East Troy and Elkhorn.
Bernie passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 14, 2013, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with cancer.
Bernie was born on June 20, 1928 in Cudahy, Wis. He was the only child of Bernard C. and Alice Price. Bernie graduated from East Troy High School in 1946. He served in the United States Army.

Bernie was an inventor, pump engineer, organizer, supervisor extraordinaire, and personal life experience consultant/adviser to his children and grandchildren.
He retired from Bechtel Construction Company as a quality control engineer charged with cooling pump installation on nuclear power plants. He was proud of this job, but his greatest accomplishment was raising his family of eight children. He loved spending time with his family. He and Elizabeth spent the last 18 years wintering in Leesburg, Fla.
Bernie is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Elizabeth; children, Larry (Vicki) of Elkhorn, Frank of Rochester, Wis., Maribeth of Elkhorn, John (Donna) of Waukesha, Marty of Whitewater, Bill (Denise) of East Troy, Fred (Kim) of Troy Center, and Annette (Dan) of Waunakee; 23 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother-in-law, Al Pitterle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Alice.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, in East Troy, at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2013. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 1-4 p.m. at the church.
