Michael D. “Uncle Mike” Kenny, 64, Fontana, passed away Feb. 23 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center, Elkhorn.
He was born Jan. 11, 1949 in Oak Park, Ill., to the late John and Patricia (Queenan) Kenny.
He was a retired Sergeant of the Chicago Police Department and a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church in Fontana.
He is survived by his brother, Patrick (Lisa) and sister, Mary (the late Frederick) Reed both of Fontana and many nieces and nephews. He was further preceded in death preceded by his brothers, J. Thomas and James and sister, Mary Patricia.
Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 28 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Fontana with the Rev. James McKitrick officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Toynton’s Walworth Funeral Home in Walworth.
