Charles “Buzz” M. L. Wright, 93, Delavan, passed away Feb. 8 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn.
He was born June 2, 1919 in Chicago to the late John and Elsie (Laurell) Wright. He married Carol Muecke June 10, 1972 in Williams Bay.
Charles was a World War II U.S. Air Force veteran. He worked in maintenance for George Williams College Camp and Hilton Hotel in Lake Geneva. He enjoyed model railroading and was a gun buff. He lived in Florida with his wife for 19 years and came back to Wisconsin to be with family. He also enjoyed camping and traveling. He was master of ceremonies for Williams Bay Civic League Shows at the Riviera for many years and was also in the shows.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; sons, James (Amy) of Leonardtown, M.d. and Tom of Williams Bay; step-children, Sharon (David) Halverson, Stephanie Kitral, Crystal (Joe) Genens all of Lake Geneva, Susan (Wayne) Rhode of Walworth, Debra Square of Lake Geneva, Jeffrey (Tara) Rabenhorst of Williams Bay and Matthew (Lori) Rabenhorst of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was further preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am. Feb. 13 at Williams Bay Lutheran Church with Rev. Jeanette Strandjord officiating.
