Barbara J. Kint, 86 of W. Court Street, Elkhorn, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Willowfield Nursing Home, Delavan. She was born June 18, 1926, in Fairfield, Pa., the daughter of Dora C. Izer and granddaughter of James W. and Mary (Beard) Izer.
She was united in marriage to Russell William Kint on April 4, 1946, in Fairfield, Pa. Russell died in October 1995.
She was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked as a CNA for over 10 years at Monroe Memorial Hospital in Ocala, Fla., retiring in 1971.
She is survived by her three daughters, Vivian (Charles) Martin of Marion, Ky., Dodie (Douglas) Jackson of Elkhorn, and Jodie (John) Panetta of Tamaqua, Pa.; 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Russell; daughter Janet Hexham; three sons, Russell William Kint Jr., Barry Robert Kint and Chad Michael Kint; and one granddaughter Juliet Denise Harris.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Barbara’s name to the American Cancer Society.
