Robert J. Britt, 94, Delavan, joined his beloved wife, Marion, in eternal peace on Jan. 28. He was born Jan. 17, 1919 in Delavan to the late Rallo and Blanche (Wheelock) Britt. He was united in marriage to Marion Henry on April 5, 1942 in Fort Atkinson. She preceded him in death on Aug. 31, 2010.
He was a machinist at the Borg’s Corporation in Delavan for many years. He then, with several others, became a founder, owner and operator of Swiss-Tech in Delavan. Along with his wife, he was a long time member of Christ Episcopal Church in Delavan. He was a veteran, serving with the U.S. Army Air Force.
He is survived by daughters, Rebecca (Dennis) Lahey of California and Deborah (Edward) Conrad of Racine; son, Mark of Lake Geneva; grandchildren, Brandon and Shannon and many nieces and nephews. His dear special friend, Helen Talis of Delavan, also survives him.
He was further preceded in death brother, Walter and his sister-in-law, Gwen.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Feb. 1 at the Christ Episcopal Church in Delavan with the Rev. John Splinter officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time on Friday at the church. Burial will be at the Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan with full military honors provided by Delavan Legion Post 95.
