Julius T. Sklenar, 90, Delavan, died Jan. 12, 2013 at Mercy-Walworth Medical Center in Lake Geneva. He was born Feb. 2, 1922 in Polar to the late Michael and Mary (Turza) Sklenar. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Wojcik on April 26, 1956 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Beloit. He was employed as a supervisor at Warner Electric Brake and Clutch Company in Beloit for many years. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Delavan. He was a veteran, serving with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of Delavan; daughters, Barbara (Gary) Oates of Florida, Elizabeth of New Mexico, Laura (Jeff) Took of Wisconsin and Diane (Kevin Cambell) of Colorado; son, Thomas of California; grandchildren, Mark, Paul, Michael, Timber, Scarlet, Joseph, Abby and Kayla; great-grandchildren, Mark and Paul; sister-in-law, Jarlean Sklenar and also many nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass will be 12 p.m. Jan. 17 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Delavan with the Rev. Jim Schuerman officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church on Thursday. Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan is assisting the family. Visit monroefh.com
