Ruth Ann Acker (nee Schweitzer) passed peacefully on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at the age of 75.
Beloved wife of the late Kenneth J. Acker; dear mother of the late Cynthia Acker, Peter (Sue) Acker, Jeffrey (Barb) Acker and Kimberly (Paul) Boyajian; proud and loving grandma of Brandon, Devin, Liam, Elle, Nicholas, Griffin and LeeAnn; great-grandma of Aeryka, Gavin, Kayden and Collin; daughter of the late Romeyn and late Evelyn Schweitzer; sister of Romelle Koch, Dan (Cathy) Schweitzer and Tedd E. Schweitzer; sister-in-law of Darrell (Jane) Acker; also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ruth Ann and her husband Kenneth founded Acker Millwork Company in 1959, which today is being carried on by the second and third generations of the Acker family.
Ruth Ann loved life. She gave to her family selflessly and was a model of strength, courage and grace. We were blessed to have had her in our lives. She will be missed deeply.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, Dec. 6 from 4-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home with a parish prayer service at 8 p.m. Visitation will take place again on Friday, Dec. 7 from 11 a.m.-noon at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 1975 N. Beulah Ave., East Troy, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon. Private interment. Ruth Ann will be interred together with her husband Kenneth.
