Joseph D. Buchanan of Eagle passed away on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at the age of 71, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 5, 1941 in Green Bay. Son of Geneva (nee Johanski) and the late Merlin Buchanan.
Joe married Bonnie Belair on June 23, 1962 in Green Bay. She preceded him in death on March 6, 2008.
Joe was a machinist at Andes Candies in Delavan and previously at Amron in Waukesha. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and loved trap shooting.
Joe is survived by his children, Donald (Kim) Buchanan of East Troy and Lisa Buchanan of Necedah. Proud grandpa of Zachary, Tyler, Michael, Alyssa, Joshua, and Natasha. Great-grandpa of Elizabeth and Anthony. He is further survived by his mother, Geneva Buchanan; brothers, Bob (Janet) Buchanan of Depere and Chuck (Jean) Buchanan of Green Bay; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Bob and Jean Loth, East Troy Rescue, Deputy Nichols, Dr. Palmer and the ICU staff at Waukesha Memorial Hospital for the care they provided to their family.
