Frances M. Wittig, 89, of Delavan, formerly of Williams Bay died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at the Lakeland Health Care, Elkhorn. She was born April 24, 1923, in Janesville to the late Frederick and Margaret (Noonan) Moore. She was united in marriage to Wilmer G. Wittig on Nov. 22, 1947, in Janesville. He preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 1981.
She was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church, Delavan. She attended St. Mary Catholic School and graduated from Janesville High School. Frances was a great fan of the Green Bay Packers and an avid bowler. She was employed at Parker Pen Company in Janesville, Borgs in Delavan and the Bay Grocery Store in Williams Bay, for many years.
She is survived by daughters, Bonnie (Wayne) Sorvala of Lake Linden, Mich. and Sally (Randy) Keach of Eagle River; sons, Wilmer “Bill” (Vicki) Wittig of Oak Lawn, Ill. and Joseph (Lori) Wittig of Elkhorn; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was further preceded in death by her son, Thomas Witting; sister, Florence Rash and brother, Robert Moore.
Services were held Nov. 26, at the Steinke Funeral Home in Lake Geneva. The Rev. Jim Schuerman of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church officiated. Burial was at the Roselawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, Delavan.
