Alletta H. Ritchie, 92, of Boscobel, passed away on Monday Nov. 19, 2012 at the Boscobel Care and Rehab in Boscobel. She was born on March 15, 1920 in Soldiers Grove to the late Adolph and Nettie (Reed) Hooverson. She married James Ritchie June 7, 1943 in Soldiers Grove. He preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 1998.
She taught school in Boscobel for many years. She is survived by her son, James (Barbara) Ritchie of Delavan and daughter, Nancy (Jerry) Wagner of Boscobel; grandchildren, Jim (Toni) Ritchie of Waukesha, Shane (Kristi) Wagner of Waunakee, Christina (Keith) Shimon of Glen View Ill., Shannon Carlin of Boscobel and eight great-grandchildren. A brother and three sisters further preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held on Nov. 24 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Boscobel with the Rev. Eileen Kuehnl officiating. Burial will follow in the Haney Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday Nov. 23 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Service at the United Methodist Church in Boscobel.
