Julie Darrough of East Troy passed away peacefully at her home on Oct. 18, 2012.
Loving partner of 15 years to Jennifer Teffer. Loving mother of Travis Kennelty, his wife, Kristin and Gabriel Bernaden, his wife, Shannon. Proud grandmother of Conner, Olivia, Cayleigh and Caiden. Loving sister to Lorna Darrough. Loving aunt to Erin, Jerod and Brian. Loving great-aunt to Jacob and Elizabeth. Loving daughter of the late Norrie Darrough and survived by her mother, Louise Darrough.
Loving and generous friend to all who knew her.
A strong and wise woman, Julie proudly graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a degree in teaching, Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude on May 20, 2007.
A tireless member of the Board of Directors of Indian Summer Festivals. A founding member of the Pink Shawl group of Milwaukee. An ABCD (After Breast Cancer Diagnosis) mentor. An artist of considerable talent. An avid fisherwoman. A lover of all creatures, especially her cats Peanut and Socksy, her three ducks and many chickens.
One of Julie’s last requests was that her family and friends take care of and love one another in her absence.
The family wishes to thank Dr. LaMarbe, Nateli, Deb, Pow-pow Pam and all of the other nurses and medical staff (Greenwald Center and Waukesha Memorial Hospital) for the excellent care and love they gave to our Julie.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
