Lillian (Leokadia) Surges, age 90, of Whitewater, passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 at Fairhaven in Whitewater.
Lillian was born Dec. 10, 1921 in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Joseph and Angela Fiedor.
She married Robert Surges.
Lillian worked as a bookkeeper for Central Steel and Wire in Chicago and later worked at Alpine Valley Resort in East Troy.
Lillian was a member of St. Peter’s Church in East Troy.
Lillian enjoyed various activities she shared with her husband such as downhill skiing, boating and motorcycling.
Survivors include her children, Patricia (William) Fritzsche, Oakland, Calif., and James (Debra) Surges, East Troy; brothers, Leonard Fiedor, Chicago, and Benjamin (Lorraine) Fiedor, Huntley, Ill.; sister, Gene (John) Partyka, Chicago; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister Ann Biernat, and a brother Joseph Fiedor.
A memorial Mass will be held at noon on Friday, Oct. 12 at St. Peter’s Church, 1975 Beulah Ave., East Troy.
Nitardy Funeral Home assisted the family.
