Darrell Lee Ottow, 83, of East Troy passed away on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012 after a courageous fight after undergoing cancer surgery on June 27, 2012.
He was born in Burlington to Burton and Marion (Shields Ottow) Huth and attended East Troy schools.
Darrell was a sergeant in the U.S. Army, and when he returned home was an electrician. He owned Ottow Electric for 47 years. He was a member of the East Troy Fire Department, Auxiliary Police, Civilian Defense Police, American Legion, VFW, Waukesha Gun Club, Triangle Sportsmen’s Club since 1957, and the Boy Scouts of America.
Darrell is survived by his children, Debra (Steve) Harrison, Elkhorn, Douglas (Chris), East Troy and Darrell (Christine), Lake Geneva; grandchildren, Timothy and Derek Bice, Jessica Ottow (Glenn) Gellings and Jason Ottow; stepgrandchildren, Jason and Stephanie Thibault, Stacy McCauley, Misty (Harrison) Decker, Stephen Harrison; great-grandchildren, Brittani Ottow, Brianna Bice, Hunter Gellings, Jenna Gellings, Gavin Gellings; stepgreat-grandchildren, Stephen and Brody Harrison, Brooklyn and Lakyn Decker, Bryce and Marissa Thibault; a brother, Keith (Ann) Cudahy and Palmyra; and a sister, Merlyn (Jerry) Riggs, Fallon, Nev.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lucille (Zarnstorff), his mother Marion (Shields Ottow) Huth, his stepfather Douglas Huth, and his sister Carlene (Cooper) Ottow, all of East Troy.
Services were held. In lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to the Triangle Sportsmen’s Club in Darrell’s name.
