The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Department of Music started #MusicMondays this week and will continue every Monday at noon through May 18 on its Facebook page.
Robert Geherenbeck, who conducted the Chamber Singers’ performance this Monday, felt grateful to have an opportunity showcase the group in the video performance.
The UW-Whitewater Chamber Singers videotaped their last rehearsal on March 12 for their cancelled March 15 concert.
“The performances are not quite perfect, but we’re grateful for the opportunity to share the fruits of our labors,” he said.
The Chamber Singers are the first in the #MusicMondays series that runs through May 18, 2020. The schedule is as follows – April 13: faculty member Michael Hackett, jazz; April 20: faculty member Benjamin Whitcomb, cello; April 27: faculty member, Daffyd Bevil, french horn; May 11 – faculty member, Brian Leeper, Meistersingers virtual choir; May 18 – faculty Leanne League, violin.
