Moving forward

      Construction on Milwaukee Street, which will be closed to thru traffic from Rice Street to the roundabout, began on March 9. This was the scene March 10 at the Milwaukee-Rice intersection. The contractor will be finishing the sanitary sewer and storm sewer work in this section. After the underground work is completed, crews will complete the remaining concrete pavement, curb and gutter, drive approaches and sidewalk, street signs, pavement markings and restoration. Then work on Elkhorn Road from the roundabout to Highway 12 will resume with a completion goal of July. (Tom Ganser photo)
