WWUSD officials provide update on summer referendum projects

As summer begins its slow fade and attention shifts toward the upcoming 2018-19 school year, officials in the Whitewater Unified district are honing in on the final portion of a busy construction-filled season.
The WWUSD School Board and administrators combed through details of referendum-fueled projects at all of the district’s schools at a meeting July 23. The majority of the work is slated for completion before school bells resume ringing after Labor Day.
“The buildings are changing every day — it’s the best way to say it,” District Administrator Mark Elworthy said of the in-flux state of the work this summer.
