Event to benefit Whitewater’s historic Bassett House
The Whitewater Federation of Women’s Clubs, the Emerson Club is sponsoring a Packer Tailgate Fundraiser from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20 at the Bassett House, 708 W. Main St. in Whitewater.
The event will consist of a tailgate lunch of brats, burgers and all the trimmings. Door prizes will be given away – some donated by the Green Bay Packers organization. Following lunch will be an afternoon of table games, such as bridge, poker, mahjongg, cribbage or Scrabble. Folks can put their own tables together or indicate their game preference with their reservation and let the event sponsors find them others to play with.
All proceeds will go to the WFWC’s Bassett House Endowment Fund and will be used to preserve the Bassett House, one of Whitewater’s historic treasures.
Tickets are $25 each, although anything above and beyond will be appreciated. Reservations must be made by Oct. 14; space is limited.
