The Whitewater Community Foundation recently announced a new Community Action Grant program. The Foundation has created an avenue that individuals and organizations may use to further their dreams.
The goal is to fund community projects that create a more vibrant and culturally diverse atmosphere in education, community development, artistic, and social activities, as well as community beautification, environmental projects and recreation.
Projects should be creative, innovative and address community needs.
The Foundation will be offering two grant cycles this year. The first grant deadline is April 30. A decision will be made and announced by May 31. The second grant cycle will take place Oct. 31 through Nov. 30.
Application guidelines and forms can be found at the Whitewater Community Foundation web page. Those applying should e-mail a hard copy of their grant proposal to P.O. Box 428, Whitewater, WI 53190.
