Sweet sound of strings

      Alpha Gamma chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma of Whitewater, the professional women’s educational organization, hosted a successful benefit concert recently at the Bassett House. More than 50 were in attendance for the UW-Whitewater Chancelor’s String Quartet and $1,150 was raised to put towards UW-W scholarships for women majoring in education. A special bonus was having 13 string students (in fourth through ninth grades) from the Whitewater Unified School District in attendance thanks to additional donations given for their tickets.
