Residents of Fairhaven take advantage of a warm, sunny day to make dog treats outdoors recently. Pauline Godfrey (above from the left), Gerrie Carney and Joyce Smith stay on task while Stanley Lukaszewski (below) gets a hug from Dining Services staff member, Peggy. The treats, with approximately 200 made monthly, are donated to: K9 Hair Care in Whitewater, the Whitewater Veterinary Hospital, the Jefferson County Humane Society and LINCS fourth and fifth grade classes for their Farmers Market stand with proceeds going toward a cause chosen by the students and Fairhaven with the July 11 recipient to be Touched by a Paw.
