Some of the UW-Whitewater/Community Optimist Club elves gather around Santa at last year’s Breakfast with Santa event. This year’s event will take place 8 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 6 in the Esker Dining Hall, 420 N. Prairie St. on the UW-W campus. Santa, Mrs. Claus, Frosty the Snowman and several elves will be on hand at the event: photos can be taken with the holiday celebrities at no cost and each child in attendance will receive a small bag of goodies. Bring the whole family for breakfast including French toast, sausage, donut holes, juice, milk and coffee ($5 for adults and $1 for children) followed by a stop at the coloring/story book corner featuring stories and music by a variety of local groups. Free tickets are available for families registered at the Whitewater Food Pantry; see Susan Cox. Ample parking will be available on the north side of Esker Hall near the back of the building where visitors should enter for the event.
