The Irvin L. Young Memorial Library will participate in National Novel Writing Month with a Writers Night @ the Library on Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 6 to 8 pm.
National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is celebrating its 16th year of empowering diverse voices, supporting writers in the classroom, and building creative writing communities around the world.
“Every year, we’re reminded that there are still stories that have yet to be told, still voices yet to be heard from all corners of the world,” says Executive Director Grant Faulkner, executive director, said. “NaNoWriMo helps people make creativity a priority in life and realize the vital ways our stories connect us. We are our stories.”
The Nov. 18 event will be an informal gathering of writers. The library will provide the gathering space, Keurig beverages, popcorn and writing journals in an effort to help cure writer’s block. The program is free and open to all ages.
Irvin L. Young Memorial Library is located at 431 W. Center Street, Whitewater. For more information about either of the upcoming events stop in, visit www.whitewaterlibrary.org or call (262) 473-0530.
