Veteran and Service member Recognition Week is a time for the UW-Whitewater community to give thanks to the students, staff, and community members who have proudly served in the United States Armed Forces. In addition to the Veterans Week festivities, UW-Whitewater supports its student veterans with a designated lounge and study space in the library, key staff members to assist in the transition to college, and ongoing programming to increase student veteran success.
The mission of the Veteran and Service member Committee is to promote UWW as a military friendly school, assess the needs of students and staff in order to provide effective programming, and strengthen relationships with the UW-System, veteran service organizations, and surrounding communities.
