Costume contest, pet parade slated Oct. 30
The Miss Whitewater Queens are set to host a Howl-O-Ween Costume Contest and Pet Parade next week to add another twist to the Halloween season and raise money for the Walworth County Humane Society in the process.
Slated to begin at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 30 in the parking lot at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1225 W. Main St. in Whitewater, the event will offer first place prizes in three categories: large breed, small breed and human/dog combo costumes.
While the event is being hosted free of charge, entry fee donations will be accepted and proceeds will go to the Walworth County Humane Society. There will also be grab bags available for participants.
The contest and parade are made possible by the following sponsors: Whitewater 4th of July Committee, M.E. & My Pets, K9 Hair Care LLC and the Whitewater Veterinary Hospital.
