The League of Women Voters – Whitewater Area will be on the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater campus several times in the coming days to register City of Whitewater voters and process change of name and/or address in advance of the Nov. 4 General Election.
Registering voters are reminded that they must provide a Proof of Residence document in order to register to vote. A list of possible documents allowed as such proof is available on the Government Accountability Board website at www.gab.wi.gov.
The League wants to make it clear that a Voter ID is not required when registering to vote.
The times, dates and locations the League will host voter registration on the UW-Whitewater campus will be as follows:
University Center, 228 Wyman Mall (Main Level) from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6, Wednesday, Oct. 8 and Tuesday, Oct. 14.
Esker Dining Hall, 420 N. Prairie St. from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, Monday, Oct. 6, Thursday, Oct. 9 and Monday, Oct. 13.
Other location: In addition to the UW-Whitewater campus locations listed above, the League will offer a voter registration session from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Whitewater Historical Society Depot Museum, 301 W. Whitewater St.
