The League of Women Voters – Whitewater Area will sponsor two candidate forums on Saturday, Oct. 4 in advance of the Nov. 4 general election.
A forum for State Senate District 15 candidates, Janis Ringhand and Brian Fitzgerald, will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with League member Ben Penwell serving as moderator.
A forum for State Assembly District 43 candidates, Andy Jorgenson and Leon Herbert, will be held from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. with League member Marion Burrows serving as moderator.
Both forums will take place in the Whitewater City Hall Council Chambers, 301 W. Whitewater St.
Questions for the candidates are drawn from the audience so the League encourages the participation of members of the local community. The candidates were also recently mailed a Candidate Questionnaire developed by the League board. Their responses are posted on the League’s website, www.lwvwhitewater.org.
