Most people know Culver’s makes a delicious burger and fresh, frozen custard. But to get the scoop on how “ButterBurger” became a household term and his last name synonymous with a sweet treat, attend next week’s Elements for Success seminar at the Whitewater University Technology Park Innovation Center and hear it straight from Craig Culver himself.
The first Culver’s restaurant opened in 1984 in Sauk City on an A&W property the Culver family had owned nearly 20 years before. Now, there are more than 500 restaurants in 22 states. During his talk, Craig Culver will discuss how following the guiding principle of “do the right thing” grew that initial family business in Sauk City into a nation-wide, award-winning franchise that is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
Will there be frozen custard at the seminar? Of course as the staff has worked itself into such a tizzy of anticipation regarding the upcoming event that frozen custard is indeed on the refreshment menu.
The seminar will be held Thursday, Sept. 25. Networking will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m., as does the distribution of fresh, frozen custard.) Craig Culver’s presentation will begin at 6 p.m. with time directly following his talk for questions. The event will wrap up with additional time for networking.
Those that are attending who are new to networking, may want to see what they can do to help with their presence online as well as see how it can facilitate their in-person networking opportunities. Social media software like LinkedIn automation tools as well as things like Facebook planning and media get-togethers can be useful and supportive of businesses and individuals who want to make their mark in their chosen field.
The Whitewater Innovation Center is located at 1221 Innovation Dr. in Whitewater. The seminar is free and open to the public but those who plan on attending are asked to RSVP to http://bitly.com/ERS092514.
