Artists sought for Starin Park Senior Center

Artists will have an opportunity to sell unframed, original art priced at under $100, on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Starin Park Senior Center, 504 W. Starin Rd. in Whitewater.

The artist’s fee of $15 for Whitewater Arts Alliance members and $25 for non-members is per person and will be donated to the Whitewater Arts Alliance to help continue to bring the arts to life in Whitewater.

“I don’t know about other artists, but I have a need to make art, I just can’t help myself. I have been painting since 1988, and have sold many pieces, but sales lag behind the amount of art I produce. Then this idea hit me: a way of reducing my inventory by offering art for sale at unbelievable prices,” coordinator Marilyn Fuerstenberg said.

“It not only will help me but will also give potential collectors a chance to own original art. My art is better off hanging on someone’s wall than in a box under my bed,” she added.

Artist interested are asked to register by Aug. 23 with Marilyn Fuerstenberg, N7557 Kame Court, Whitewater, WI 53190. Checks should be made out to the Whitewater Arts Alliance.

For more information contact Marilyn Fuerstenberg at (262) 473-5269 or [email protected] or Louise Fuerstenberg at (262) 473-2548.

Space will also be available outside for a $5 fee, in which case artists need to bring their own tables to display their artwork.
