Cancer survivors (top) lead off Whitewater’s Relay for Life event June 28 that raised $31,387.07 as of late last week (donations can be turned in until Aug. 31.) The top local fundraising teams were: Washington Golden Eagles, $4,395.65; First Citizens State Bank, $4,371.26, and; the UW-Whitewater Community Optimist Club (above), $3,139.14 while the top individual fundraisers were: Eda Wilson, $2,515.88; Michelle Bucholtz, $1,937.64, and; Kris Ketterhagen, $1,720.
