Men charged in Whitewater burglary

Initial appearances are scheduled for July 3 for three Jefferson men charged with stealing and pawning items from a Whitewater home.

Sean J. Mueller, 20, Michael L. Miller, 21, and Lucas D. Smillie, 22, were charged June 11 in Walworth County Circuit Court with burglary of a building or dwelling.

According to the criminal complaint:

Joshua Dicks, of Whitewater, reported items missing April 7 from his room of an East North Street home where his roommates had hosted a party that night. Dicks said he suspected Mueller, Miller and Smillie were responsible for the burglary based on comments they had made about the missing items – a TV, watch and golf club.

A detective contacted Pawn America in Madison where video surveillance showed Mueller, Miller and Smillie pawning the TV, watch and golf club on April 7.
